
DAY 1 OF 100 DAY CHALLENGE – I went to Cassidy’s Tuesday yoga class and we worked on back-bends and twists. I had some issues with my lower back hurting but by the end of the day I was feeling a lot better. My hamstrings were really tight from Pure Barre but I was able to work through that.
When I got home I did the ‘Contortion Handbook’ stretches from wandererstraining.com. I stretched for one hour working predominantly on back-bends and shoulder openers with the yoga wheel.
I will try to post ‘beginner’ progress pictures tomorrow so I can get an idea of where I am as I start this journey. 🙂
The picture attached is of me doing a balance posture. I’d like to eventually be able to get my feet directly out in front of me but that is not possible as of right now. Trying to determine if it’s my back or hip flexors that are making this difficult. As of right now, I cannot get my hands to the ground in full titibasana. Maybe in 3 months I will be able to though! *Fingers Crossed*
