Yesterday was my first day committed to stretching. Ive committed to stretching 2-3 hours per day with 1 day off in the week.
Yesterday, I did 1.5 hours of stretching.
I have a stretching plan and realized going through it that it is extremely long. I did a brief version of all lower body stretches, not including back or shoulder flexibility that I planned to do. It took me around 30-40 minutes to do the dynamic stretches, which I did before and after static stretches. I took 50 minutes doing static stretches.
Weakness: hip flexibility, esp. the left
Hamstring flexibility
Vertical split stretches – right leg is much more flexible
Side splits, right is much better
Weakness: back flexibility in split
Split, back leg up – 100% down on right but not left
Clean over split on right with one block; bent knee on left
Center split flexibility

Yeah I agree with Kassidy, great starting points, plus you have a lot of knowledge and a great plan! So excited to see your progress! Gotta love hours of dynamic stretching!! 😉 Also, if you don’t already know, I wanted to recommend the static stretch similar to the split with leg up against the wall but with less stress on the hamstring so you can purely focus on the hip flexor. Do a lunge with a right angle in the front leg and try to put your shin all the way up against the wall. Then I do breathing reps,… Read more »
You’ve got good starting points. Sometimes i can take about 1.5 to 2 hours to stretch coz i take such long breaks in between but i dont always have the time. If you stretch like that for 5 days a week you will see results in no time. Keep it up. I know how hard it is!! Looking forward to seeing your progress.
