First Photos – Day Three!

Day3SplitLeft

I’ve been doing yoga and different stretches and going to the gym with a personal trainer since January 2015! However, this is my third day of the Flexibility Challenge! I didn’t get pictures of all the poses I did today, but here are a few! I need a whole lot of work on my middle split, and a bit on my right split. My upper back is pretty flexible for bending forward but not backwards. And my mid-lower back needs work bending forward but is much better bending backwards… I think? My shoulders are a bit sore today but other than that I’m feeling great!

Day3BackBend

I eat 6-8 tbsp of hemp hearts everyday, which are great for protein and all your omegas and that stuff! Today I had 2 scrambled eggs for breakfast with spinach, arugula, green pepper, tomato, onion, avocado, and some salsa, and every morning I prepare a 20 oz water bottle with some lemon slices and if I have it, a tbsp of Royal Jelly! (I refill this throughout the day of course.)

Day3Random

The first two days of the challenge were intense which is just what I need since I’ve been doing a lot of yin yoga. Yesterday I had tuna with onions, spinach, arugula, tomato, and avocado which was also beneficial and delicious! Then I went on a 7 mile walk and did my stretching when I got home. I also drink tons of almond milk/hemp milk and various types of tea throughout the day. Staying hydrated and protein are both crazy important for stretching.

Day3FeetToHead

Tomorrow morning will be my first Hatha Yoga class so I’m super excited! Lately it has been much easier for me to focus on my breathing and relaxation!!

Day3Random2

I definitely want to work on my form and certain bends, I can’t wait to see the progress I make 🙂

Wow day 3 was a success I can see! You are so close to touching your feet to your head with no assistance, that’s awesome! Your front bend is really good too, it looks like you have a very flexible neck. For the splits, I totally recommend yoga blocks to prop your hands up on both sides so you can focus on contracting and releasing your muscles. You’ll also want to work on sitting up straight and straighten the legs when you contract. I can’t wait to see your progress! I’m also glad to hear you’ve been eating well, that… Read more »
