End of Week 1

 

Today my friend Rico and I stretched together and tried out cool poses we found on Instagram! This is the end of my first week of the challenge! I’ve been stretching everyday and I find it’s becoming addictive! I stretch while watching TV, while outside in the sun, and any random times throughout the day! I went out and bought some yoga blocks for my splits, as well as a weighted hula hoop to help strengthen my core. I’ve learned I need a lot more improvement in my balance and strength in order to hold poses for longer periods of time and with the correct form. I just get so shaky or I can’t hold a pose long enough!! Every day I notice improvements though, and it is so encouraging!

For more encouragement, I’ve been following a lot of contortionists and advanced yoga teachers on Instagram, and I post my own progress on my Instagram. I also talk with my friends about it and some encourage me to the point where they actually want to try it out themselves!

I’m very eager to improve on the flexibility in my right and middle split, as well as my backbend!

I’ve been looking into different yoga classes and am still trying to find one that’s right for me!

I need to learn to be more patient and strengthen my breathing and ability to focus.

That acro yoga pose looks fun!! Your split is looking good too, you’re soo close!! Glad you got those yoga blocks 🙂
