
So, it’s day 2. Propped up on front splits, so I really could focus on having straight legs and added support helped too.
I worked the side splits too, really enjoyed the variations for helping to get the side splits better. I wasn’t sure if I had to do one set on each variation, or a set on each. Should I do four on each?
Also, I left it the advanced stuff because that would have been stupid.
By far the most fun, was the backbending. My backbending is pretty good I think, for a man anyway. The dynamic warm up is brilliant, gets everything prepped and ready for the hold. Attached back bend picture and looking forward to another 2 hours tomorrow. Brilliant programme, so maybe I’ll be getting better on the parallettes and shoulders will not be so painful and restricted as they have been.

I’m glad the propped front splits worked well for you!! To answer your question, I usually switch it up, sometimes I’ll do one variation 4x or I’ll do different variations totaling 4x. It all depends on how much time you have and what is feeling good for you. I totally understand the shoulder tightness, that’s what made me start hardcore flexibility in the first place!
