Hi! My name is Douglas and I’m 24 years old. I was once teaching yoga 5 years ago and now I had to change my lifestyle due to finacial crisis. I want to transform from a tree to a sphagetti noodle lol. I have lost all of my flexibity and am now back to the stage of a complete beginner due to sedentary lifestyle. I can’t even touch my toes anymore!!! Lol. But I am now starting the journey of transformation. If you have any suggesstions for a tree like me to start from, I would be very grateful. Thank you!!

    Hey Douglas,

So glad you’re here, and sorry I didn’t see this sooner! My best advice is to focus on the dynamic stretches, this helps to loosen everything up and build strength at the same time. If I’m ever short on time, I’ll only do the dynamic stretches.

Once you are warmed up with dynamic stretches, try some basic static stretches with heavy focus on breath and muscle isolations. The more you focus on deep breaths and engaging and relaxing the proper muscles, the more flexibility you will have.

Since you do yoga, you’re probably really in tune with your body, get reconnected and your body will tell you what to do. All you have to do is breath and listen 🙂

I wish you the best of luck on your transformation and let me know if you have any other questions 🙂

    Cheers,
    Amanda
